Hate that belly fat?! Me too!

One of my 2012 goals, be FIT! Yes they laugh at me when I say I wanna be fit, because I'm already thin you know, pero yung tyan kasi! Mahirap itago! Haha! So I've been working on trying to have flat belly for few months now. I run, jog, eat healthy and hit the gym. I became addicted to reading fitness magazines and websites. Still don't have results and I want it badly! Waaa! Sino naman nagsabi magkakaron ka agad ng abs sa kakajogging?! It's hard, really. Or maybe I just don't work out enough? Late night overtimes in the office ruins my diet. I want to eat more when I lack sleep. I want more food to have energy to keep my mind, hands and eyes moving through drawings. In short, mahirap magka-abs! Haha! Here are few inspirations from Pinterest. Yes I started pinteresting too, pinning is definitely interesting!

Bonifacio Global City!

October last year, I decided to celebrate my birthday with my best friend. She lives 3 hours away and we don't get to see each other often. We actually meet up very seldom. So I asked her if she has 1 day she can spend with me! She brought me to an urbanized area in Taguig, Bonifacio Global City! I was actually surprised because Taguig was not known as a city of commerce back then. The place is fast developing with Ayala projects like Serendra and Market Market. I was amazed with the modern aesthetic designs of the buildings. It's a perfect place to stroll and have some quality time with my best friend!

A photo with the manager of Deutsche Bank! Haha! The boyfriend of my best friend is also my long time friend from Dubai. We brought him some milk tea. He's presently working in Taguig. I'd love to have a work environment like this too!

Buy Some Happiness

We all know that “Money can’t buy happiness.” But aren't wealthier people happier? Some of the best things in life aren't free. You know that to wake up in a extravagant room of a luxury resort will definitely make you happy. How can you get there? You need money to check in. We feel happy when we’re on the latest fashion trend. We dream to travel the world and experience different cultures. We want gadgets, adventures, our dream house. All these can be possible through money and positivism. Study shows that positive people are more likely to succeed. Being pessimistic won’t get you somewhere. We need to work for money, earn it with positive attitude. However, it’s also true that the arms of your love can be the happiest place on earth, not Disneyland. But how can it be for people who are in long distance relationships? They need money to travel. Apparently it depends on how people make choices for themselves. People think differently. Money controls us in many ways. We just have to use how much money we make with what can really make us happy.

I’ve been reading the “Happiness Project” book since I received it as a Christmas gift last year. I started reading it on Christmas vacation and I finally got to the end page last week! I'm gonna share to you guys how much I've enjoyed reading the book. It’s about how she find ways to be happier every month. Her month of July is about managing money. How it can contribute to our happiness. Here’s an excerpt:

When I was thinking hard about the relationship between money and happiness, I struck up a conversation with a fellow guest at a bridal shower. I told her that I was trying to figure out ways to “Buy some happiness.” She became quite indignant at my suggestion. “That so wrong!” she said. “Money can’t buy happiness!”

“You don’t think so?”

“I’m the perfect example. I don’t make much money. A few years back, I took my savings and bought a horse. My mother and everyone told me I was crazy.  But that horse makes me incredibly happy—even though I end up spending all my extra money on him.”

“But,” I said, confused, “money did make you happy. It makes you so happy to have a horse.”

“But I don’t have any money, I spent it all.”

“Right, because you used it to buy a horse.”

Food tripping is one of my favorite things to do when I have the money and free time. I've been earning more lately since I’ve been working overtimes and it’s nice to spend for eating! I make sure I have budget for dining out. I never regret spending if it'll make my tummy full and happy! A small serving of sundae may cost unreasonable price but I think every newbie restaurant is worth a try. Every now and then, I call a friend to grab a mouth watering dish and yummy desserts with me! 

In reality, we need the help of money! Just don't let it be your master. It's a bad bad master. Love still is the main reason to be happy. So how are you spending for your happiness? Share! I'll be glad to know. =)

Joyride to the North!

Nature tripping is always fun. Joyride to the north always feels like coming home. Fresh air, tall trees, nippa huts and green mangoes shows us how simple life can be. I know we're all so freaking busy in the city, but you should relax in our provinces even just once a year. Here's few pictures from our visit last month:

Yes it feels good for me. I don't get to blog much often or talk about really interesting stuffs, but hey I still have readers.
