Anywhere is Paradise

| It's all up to you |

"Ang tunay na pananampalataya ay ang patuloy na pagtitiwala sa Diyos kahit hindi niya sinagot ang mga panalangin mo. Huwag kang hihingi ng himala para mapatunayang may Diyos, ang bawat araw ng iyong buhay ay isang milagro."

-An excerpt from Tagalog Movie "9 Mornings"

You see, we only feel God's absence because we lack faith on him. He is always present. He's just waiting for us. Lenten season is coming, let's make a spiritual change. You don't need to be in the church everyday to prove your sincerity to your religion. We just need to live by His will. Walk with faith, not by sight. He loves you so much!

Have a Blessed Palm Sunday everyone!
Remember when Multiply was as famous as Facebook? It was the site I used to check everyday. I haven't updated my Multiply for a long time now. Here's how my page looks like and photos from way back! I love looking through old shots.

Multiply is still a useful website to store photos. It's a good place to keep memories! Anyone has Multiply? Happy weekend!
"Do not look at the world through your head; look at it through your heart."

“People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. “

“You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That’s the only thing you should be trying to control.”

“There is a reason they call God a presence – because God is right here, right now. In the present is the only place to find Him, and now is the only time.”

Inspired by Eat, Pray, Love. Thank God it's Friday!
The best time to tell an exciting story is right after it has happened. Like an hour or day after when you can still go like "Woohoo that was great!" or "Yehey so much fun!". This trip was November last year and I hate the fact that I didn't get to blog about this right away. We had a trip to the once-hidden-now-famous Anawangin Cove in San Antonio, Zambales. The package includes island hopping (Camara & Capones Island) and a one-night-stay in Anawangin Cove. It was very affordable, only PHP 900/head with free breakfast, lunch and dinner!

So we wanted to have an "adventurous" trip. It just turned out to be more than what we expected. We have an option to check-in to a hotel in Pundaquit or camp out in Anawangin Cove. We chose to feel the nature. However, we didn't have a choice when it was low tide and the boat can't transport us into the island because of big rocks. We had to swim into the sea to reach the island. That activity was the most "adventurous" part! Maybe if we were ready it could've been easier. Baka  nakapagpraktis pa muna ako lumangoy! Most of us don't know how to swim. Eee nakakahiya noh? Haha! It wasn't a smooth path! The wave was not very friendly, not even rocks that gave us wounds. I wish I can tell you every detail that can make you see how much we've gone through that day. However, here are the captured moments! Thank you to awesome photographer friends (Myrted, Jay and Patty) who took amazing shots!

BEST FRIENDSHIP EVER!

Life is like the crazy flow of water. You need to survive it. I made through that day when I felt like almost dying. Over noh? Pero it really felt like that. And overcoming that challenge was a big thing for me. On this adventure, I learned few remarkable things:

1. Silly happenings from highschool never gets old. Every story will still sound funny though you've heard it a million times from the same story tellers!
2. You get the awesome and never ending friendship from highschool.
3. Trying to swim to reach a rocky island while it's low tide and the wave is hard, is the worst situation you can encounter with water!
4. Sometimes you'll feel like dying. but you just do anything to keep you breathing because you wanna live.
5. Bonfire games are the best things to do before you sleep during a camp out.
6. You're relationship with your best friend never changes even when you only get to see her twice or thrice a year.
7. Learning to swim is a must! It can be very useful. Trust me.
8. You should learn to befriend water so it can love you back. Arrgh, i hate you deep blue sea.

Learning these things with my friends is what made this outing the Best.Adventure.Trip.Ever. Living life with people who unconditionally loves you can make your everyday the Best.Day.Ever!

Since Papa is on vacation from Saudi, every Sunday is a family day! 2 weeks ago we dined at Texas Joe's House of Ribs in SBMA. I've been wanting to dine here again since I first tried their steak two years ago. That was long enough, it was really time to visit it again. Well I was just able to have a taste of their yummy and juicy ribs when our American boss treated us for all the hard work. Yeah! We were surrounded by mostly Americans, I guess it's their go-to place when they miss their country? Maybe.

Texas Joe is a western style steakhouse. They serve American and Mexican cuisines. You'll love to dine here because if it's warm ambiance. The architectural theme is of the old American west featuring the famous battle scene of “The Alamo”, where a small number of Americans defended their post against a large Mexican army. They have ranch style interiors. Their staffs were even dressed like they came from the west side. They also have a billiard table. You can play for free once you've ordered. As much as I want to take more pictures of the place, I wasn't able to because they said the people who dine there are quite private. They don't want strangers taking pictures of them. So here are few:

Baby Back Ribs with Coleslaw
Bubba Burger
Smoked Chicken with Guacamole

Texas Joe's is the perfect place to experience the good ole ambiance of the American South! And for steak lovers, thier ribs is a must-try one!
All work and no play makes me a dull girl, and same will happen to you. It unconsciously feel good to work long hours. I don't know with you, but for me it does. Oh admit it, you do too! I bet you wanna be called a "hardworking girl" too. Sige tayo na ang mahilig mag-overtime, ako na ang masipag! Haha!

Having free time to just lay in your bed all day or be a couch potato on weekends are great source of happiness! After a hassle week, doing nothing can be a simple form of joy for busy peeps. Still there's something better to do sometimes, PLAY! It can be tiring to spend your Saturday night playing around, but it can fight stress more! Even just a single care-free night can ease your month long job worries. Trust me! Trust the party girls out there! If you haven't, this 2012 be sure to make time for play!

My aunt who has been living in California for long years now went home last month for my cousin Cath's wedding. It's been a decade since she last stepped in our country. She has this American thing with her already like the way she thinks about marriage and having a baby after 40. Well being a Pinay, when you're single at 30, you gotta panic! He's damn too late, your Mr. Right might have been lost! That tradition is slowly changing now though. However, despite of it all, she's still that simple and down to earth Pinay and I should mention "totally cool aunt ever!" She's their youngest and she's single! Having her here calls for a bonding night. We set a date for a girl's night out! Too bad our newly wed cousin can't join us. I miss her. Here's the four of us, pretty ladies alert!

It's nice to dress up and put that girly thing going! Time for playing with make-ups too!

Bar hopping! 3 bars in a row! First at Willis, chill and talk. Next was at Purenote, listen to good music. Then off to Gigs! I used to drink out of busy work days but we don't go to disco bars. We prefer acoustic bars or have shots at someone's place instead. That night, we went to Gigs which is a party-till-dawn place! It was my first time to drink more than 5 different alcohols in one night! Those shots got us psyche! We were totally drunk and high and caught attention of some guys who introduced themselves to us. See? Yan ang beauty namin! I didn't expect that to happen though. Anyway, it was just a one-night-making-friendly-smiles and dancing with them.

Cheers to us! That's how we should do it, play while you're YOUNG and WILD and FREE!

I've started my diet last week and I hate the fact that I'm surrounded with these yummy goodies! I love how blessings always pour unto us through foods but I really need to work on this diet. Yes I know everyone's reacting about me taking a diet, you'll know why when I get results. You'll see! Haha! These foods may not be new to you but these are my new favorites lately.

1. Savory - Beer Battered Fish Fillet
We had lunch at Savory in the newly opened SM Olongapo last week. Oh yes meron na din kami SM dito! It was my first time to try this recipe, never heard talaga. The name is so catchy that I chose to order this one and I'm a fan of different fish recipes. Judgement? Extra rice!

2. Greenwich - Lasagna
I'm inlove with baked pastas. I love the melting cheese on top! My all time favorite are bake macaronis. Greenwich is my go-to place when I crave for it. I've heard lots about how they make good lasagna but I never dare to trade bake mac for it. So believe it or not, it's my first time to order Greenwich lasagna last Sunday. How did it went? I wanna have some every weekend! (Diet won't allow that though)

3. Tokyo Tokyo - California Makki
My aunt used to make sushi that every family member loves! But it's been years since her last sushi-making-days and I wonder why. It's funny that I don't get to eat sushi on other places. I haven't even tried KFC California Makki Twister! My roommate and I dined at Tokyo Tokyo last month and it was time for me to get some sushi! Delicious!

4. Mcdonalds - McFlurry with Cadbury Milk Chocolate
Sundae hot fudge has always been my favorite. Cadbury is one of the best chocolate brand ever. So the idea of finding thick milk chocolate shells on your ice cream? Perfect!

I love these picks but pastas and ice creams should really be avoided for a while. I'm super duper determined with my target! So good foods, will you please stay away from me? It kills me to see you!

What's your latest favorite yummy treat? Share!
