January was about...

1. A new-born blessing!
My cousin Catherine gave us additional angel to our family, baby Reinoah! This year is a big life change for her. A baby and a wedding next month! She has always been one of the most wonderful person I know.  She's the type you wouldn't let pass you by to be your friend. She's like the girl who don't know how to say no, she makes sure she''ll help you as far as she can. Her husband-to-be is one lucky man!

2. Celebrating another year!
My brother dear celebrating his 12th birthday. He's getting older and I'm not getting any younger! Feeling ko nga lumiliit ako kasi kasing tangkad ko na siya! He was just this cute little innocent boy na mabait at hindi pasaway. Binata na! Waaa! He'll graduate elementary this March and will start highschool life which makes me realize that I'm clearly getting old!

3. Visiting former colleagues.
Tintin came home from Diego Garcia where she's currently employed as an Architect. Overseas na silang lahat! Ako na lang andito, daya! We used to work in SBMEI where you can find a theme park called Ocean Adventure and a resort, Camayan beach resort. So we took time to visit our former workplace. Oh how we missed the times!

4. Welcoming Christianity
My third "inaanak" from my former officemate Ate Judy. This boy will make girls cry! Look at those adorable small eyes!

5. White forest cake!
It's my first time to try this one because I always go for chocolate. Taste so good!

6. Reviving friendship
It's been a year since we got together like this. These are my closest friends in college. We were only four last night but our circle of friends is quite huge. Everyone's really getting hard to contact now, busy with their jobs and relationships. We just had dinner then had some laughs in JAX comedy bar. I was really happy to finally see them again. And guess what. that girl on the center of the first photo, she's 2 months preggy! We were shocked! She was like the most conservative girl  in our group. I hope we can bond this year more often.

6. GLEE Marathon
I miss watching GLEE! So this past weekends, I had a marathon! I bought video disc of Season 2 and 3 (which is not complete yet) and I enjoyed so much! Some people think it's like High School Musical which is quite like for kids to enjoy but Glee is different. Glee is about growing up, getting through highschool while overcoming fears and having fun!

The first month of year 2012 has ended, hello Love month! =)

You, Me & Charlie

Anyone heard of this website yet? I'm a gleek. Well yes a Glee fan. I was browsing through twitter last night and found links to Glee actor's accounts. Diana Agron who plays Quinn on the show is my favorite and of course Harry Shum! Just found out that Diana loves to blog. That pretty face is also a writer! She started with Tumblr to share her thoughts, travels and photos with fans. Then she just launched her website for a cause. It's an inspirational and interesting website with good reads for everyday. Diana Agron is Charlie. She believes that there's a Charlie inside her.

Oh, isn't this always fun?? Ha! Well, let's see. I am a SF-bred girl who would live my entire life down the rabbit hole in a world of nonsense, but due to the low probability of me ever finding that damn hole, I use my vivid imagination every day and refuse to ever truly grow up. Not all the way! That wouldn't be fun! Why not embrace a life like Peter? I love what I do, I love to see a smile turn a smile turn a smile. Life is too short, too melancholy for some. I'd like to try to diffuse that as much as I can. I am only one, but together we are so much more. Hope you have fun here on YM&C. I've been having a grand time thus far!

U R PERFECT

The first time he caught me, punching away on my calculator I was embarrassed- I was caught, redhanded in the midst of an insecure moment. One that, for the most part, I like to avoid for as long as I can get away with it. Don’t you hate that? I wanted to crawl inside of something and stay there- my air of Uber Confident chick had been exposed!
“What are you doing?” he said, “budgeting?”
Obviously, not budgeting. I was counting. Counting calories from every bite of cracker, cheese and so on that had entered my mouth. There I was frantically adding them up, trying to make sure I could stay within the bracket that would keep me…. “perfect.”
When I told him what I WAS doing, he kissed my forehead, grabbed my phone and suggested we go get a piece of cake. Well yes Sir, don’t mind if I do.
A few months later for Christmas, we exchanged our first presents. I’d told him briefly about my favorite bakery in NYC and on Christmas morning, a can of White Chocolate Macadamia cookies, from NYC to CO arrived on my doorstep with a calculator that read, (in perfect calculator looking font) “U R PERFECT”
It was years ago that My former Love gave this little calculator to me and like many women, I’ve pinched and prodded and looked at myself with a critical eye all too often….but something about that gift and the reminder that, “U R PERFECT” has stuck. Because you know what? You are.
No matter the calories, the size, the number….You, my darlings- are perfect.
Do you get caught up in the numbers? Maybe you need to make yourself a calculator that tells the TRUTH.

That's my favorite post so far. A post from one of her contributors. Yes she loves to share it with everyone, she's open for contributors! Visit YouMeandCharlie now!Start browsing you'll surely love it! Happy Tuesday!

Beige Satchel from Impulse Co

After watching "Letters to Juliet" just last month, I loved how Amanda Seyfried flaunted her satchel with her dress while running around Italy!

So I started searching for a good satchel to purchase and it wasn't easy. I didn't eventually found what I really like though there are lots of choices. Gladly I remembered my bestfriend Myrted's bag when we strolled in The Fort. Lots of thank you to her for sharing Impulse Co to me. I ordered a beige satchel and here it is. Already got my own! Yey!

I recieved the package one day after my payment. I ordered a 13 inches beige satchel. I agree with all the positives on Myrted's post here. The best thing I love about it is it's texture. If you're interested on purchasing one too, see their pages below.

SUPER-date!

The most romantic day of the year is coming! Lots of love on February 14! Once again, I won't be spending the special day with a date. My supposed-to-be date is literally physically miles away for the second time around. My plan for V-day? I'll be eating lots! Yes I will pamper myself with foods. Bitter? Haha. I really wish I have a date. Like he can go home for a day and we'll have a SUPER-date! And it'll be like:

6:00am till before we starve for lunch:
Balloon Adventure Up Up and Away! - Canterbury, New Zealand
We will journey our morning to the spectacular Mt. Cook region. We will fly and enjoy the view of the sun rising out of the ocean, toward snow capped mountains! Morning is the scenic flight. Flying time is just for one hour but it takes 3-4 hours to prepare.

Lunch time:
Modern Greek Cuisine - Oia, Santorini, Greece
We will be having a perfect lunch with dreamlike terrace views!  Ambrosia restaurant in Oia, Santorini is one of the most popular romantic place for couples in Greece. The intimate setting on two small terraces  is a truly special Santorini experience!
"It offers one of the most tranquil and dreamlike terrace views of the caldera and the volcano, which in addition to the good food and excellent services make dining there an unprecedented experience."

Afternoon around 1:00pm-5:00pm:
Eternal love under the Bridge of Sigh - Venice, Italy
We're gonna spend the afternoon cruising over the lagoon as this is the best way to experience the romance of this city. Venice ranks right up there as a city for lovers. It’s there where you’ll find the famous Bridge of Sighs where, local legend says, lovers will be assured eternal love if they kiss on a gondola at sunset under the bridge. We should definitely try that!
"Venice is a maze that anyone would want to get lost in. You will see artisans still at their trade, musicians playing their instruments, and baroque architecture."

Rialto Bridge, Venice
Bridge of Sigh, Venice
Sunset:
Watch sunset while on the Eye! - London
Take a ride on London's eye! It has always been my dream since I've watched the movie "If Only". They said that the best time to ride the eye is when the sun is setting, so we might as well take that advice from experienced tourist. I love rides, high rides! Being somewhere high give me the feeling of confidence and  success. So I really want to ride here for the first time with the one I love. I want to feel how beautiful life is with that person!

Dinner:
Dine at a candlelight garden - Tixkokob, Yucatan, Mexico
Of course the most romantic will always be the dinner part when you can just have a good talk and maybe just stare at each other if you really can't help it. We will have a magical delight at Hacienda San Jose. The image shows all the romance!
"The finest linen, silver cutlery and soft candlelight please the senses, and the temptation to linger in the cool evening breezes is very strong."

Hacienda San Jose, Mexico
The rest of the night:
Around New York! - New York, USA
Enjoy New York city! We'll have a joy ride around Manhattan. Visit the Empire state building or stroll at Central Park. Or maybe see a broadway musical show! I love theater. I've read that there are comedy clubs in NY, we might as well enjoy additional laughter too. We can also visit museums and art galleries since we are huge fans of art. And finally witness fireworks display before the night ends!

Girls are naturally die-hard-romantics no matter how deny it. And every girl deserves a SUPER-date. These ideas of mine are so dreamy! It can be realistic, but only one place at a time. Si superman lang makakagawa nito in one day! You can actually consider any date as a SUPER-date, because the truth is all you want is just to be with your special someone no matter where unromantic place you both may be. It's never the place that sets the fire, it's how mushy you can get when you think about how much you love him/her. Any activity you love doing together can get romantic. So here's my more realistic, less dreamy and simple version of a SUPER-date:

1. Wake me up with dozen of white roses and heavy breakfast meal! Chicken burger or rice meal with mango juice or fresh milk!
2. Take some rest after breakfast then jogging! Yes like Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise! Feel healthy and energetic together!
2. Have lunch at a beach front resto with great interior design, ambiance and cuisine!
3. Movie trip or play a video game. Get high with Xbox!
4. Walk and watch the sunset at the shore! The mushy and picture taking part!
5. Full pack dinner with lots of stories to tell! Yehey! We love eating together, trying new stuffs and craving for more then realizing we can't finish them all. Foods gives us happiness!

I know it's too early but Advance Happy Hearts day everyone! Excited? Haha!

"I'm not sure if you feel a spark,
but I feel fireworks when I'm with you!"

You Should Date a Writer

You should date a writer. You should date a writer because he will fictionalize everything. He will write about things you have done to him, or things you have never done to him. He will write about the time you held his hand, in the rain, and shared an umbrella. Or said nothing when he cried copiously in a movie theater. He will write, in pure passionate prose, about how, during the time you were together, you came across a stray cat on the street and you cried and you took it home and gave it to him and he fell in love with you for the first time.

You should date a writer. You should date a writer because he will fictionalize everything. He will write about the time you fought, and made up, and made love, and fought again. He will scour the details of your lives, and  make from them poetry.  And his words will sing in your head like birds in spring.

You should date a writer.  You should date a writer because he will fictionalize everything.  He will write about things that have happened, or that have not happened.  He will write about the time you broke up, and he broke your heart.  Or the time that he asked you to stay, and you left.  He will write, words bleeding on a page, about love and life and lessons learned.

And you will learn about the time he waited outside your door for hours, not knowing if you were coming home or not. Or about the time he baked you a cake, lopsided and burnt, and threw it away because he did not want to give you a stupid ugly cake on your birthday. Or about the time he woke up at 5am in the morning to get you fresh flowers in the market, because he couldn't afford the ones they sold at the mall and he knew how much you liked them.

Or about the time when he was sick, and you were there, making sure he was safe and warm. How you skipped work that day, and puttered around his apartment, making more noise than was probably necessary.  And how you kissed him on the forehead when you thought he was asleep, and whispered a promise he dared not believe.
You will learn about the time he stood by your door, and told you he loved you, and how that was the happiest and scariest day of his life.  How nervous and fearful he felt, not knowing if you loved him back.

You should date a writer.  You should date a writer because he will fictionalize everything.  He will immortalize in words, the life you shared, or the time you both laid in bed, and whispered affectionate promises of forever.

FIREWORKS! Hello 2012!

"I'm captivated by you baby like a firework show!" Let's welcome 2012 with fireworks! Whoo! Fireworks makes me long for romantic moments. I swear one of the things I should do before I die is to have a kiss picture with fireworks behind us (New year or not) and of course in Paris with Eiffel tower at the background! Fireworks makes me miss sweet times. It's like a symbol of love for me. It's probably one of the best things a couple can share, watching fireworks together, holding hands. Yikes! I guess this is just how corny and mushy you can get when the love of your life is far away from you. It's lonely, crazy and exciting at the same time. Okay so much for that. We spent New year's eve with family. There's no better way to welcome a New year but to be with your family if you can.

I'm starting my year with a good book. The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. She spent a year to be happier and gained lessons for a lifetime. My resolution will still be the same one I made two years ago. Aargh. Save money and sleep early! But I've added more for 2012:
1. Learn to swim, not just floating! To swim in an open water not just in a shallow pool. Ohh this will take a lot of effort! I hate deep blue sea. Yikes.
2. Eat more green leafy. I'm not a vegetarian but I eat veggies, it's just not all the time.
3. Be more patient. I'm a patient person as much as I know myself, I think I gotta have more these year. It's a long story why.
4. New job! Aww sorry I badly want to be in a new environment again. Not immediately because of the promotion I just got, basta bago matapos ang taon. I wanna fly! Wee!
5. Take good care of my health! Be aware of what's bad for me.
6. Improve my spirituality. I used to be a go-to-church girl. I used to be in a choir which I enjoyed so much. Lately I noticed I've been skipping Sunday mass. My faith doesn't decrease but I want to be active in church again. In a different way.

Tomorrow will be the last day of my long vacation, gotta sleep early tonight! Waa! Goodnight people!
